Lecture by Harvard Kennedy School’s Alex Jones

AlexJonesOur Gutenberg Moment: Imagining the Digital Future
by Alex Jones

Over 70 Bay Club members came out to hear visiting lecturer, Alex Jones talk about what the 15th Century has to teach us about our digital future.  Alex, a Laurence M. Lombard Lecturer and Director of the Harvard Kennedy’s School Joan Shorenstein Center on the Press, Politics & Public Policy took a look over the horizon by peering backward into the aftermath of Johannes Gutenberg’s revolution in communications technology.  Everything changed during this violent, chaotic, and powerful time – and today, in our own Gutenberg moment, our world is poised to experience an equally profound metamorphosis.

Following the talk, members enjoyed a special buffet dinner at the Golf House restaurant prepared by Executive Chef Jim Mercer and his culinary team.
